The "UE and Supplier Social Responsibility Code of Conduct" (hereinafter referred to as the "Code") is formulated with reference to the "Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct" (RBA Code). UE requires itself and its suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the countries/regions in which they operate, and this is a prerequisite for suppliers to cooperate with UE. Suppliers are encouraged to adopt internationally recognized industry standards and industry best practices to continuously improve their CSR management levels. UE reserves the right, upon reasonable notice, to conduct an audit of a supplier's site to assess the supplier's compliance with this Code. For suppliers that violate CSR red lines, UE requires rectification within a time limit. If the rectification cannot be completed within the time limit, the partnership will be cancelled.

This Code applies to Dongguan Shilong Fuhua Electronics Co., Ltd. ("UE") and suppliers that provide products and/or services. This code applies to all employees, including temporary workers, foreign workers, apprentices, student workers, contractors, direct employees and other types of workers.

The Code consists of five parts: labor standards, health and safety, environmental protection, business ethics, and management systems.

  1. labor standards

1.1 Free choice of career

UE requires itself and its suppliers to ensure that all employees are employed purely on a voluntary basis. No form of slavery (including modern slavery), forced, bonded, trafficked or prison labor shall be employed. There shall be no restriction on personal freedom, no withholding of identification documents, and no trafficking in persons, including transporting, harboring, recruiting, transferring or receiving such labor or services by means of threat, coercion, coercion, abduction or deception. Employees must not be required to pay deposits, recruitment fees or other fees to their employer or agent.

1.2 child labor and underage labor

UE requires itself and its suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the minimum working age and prohibit the use of any form of child labor.

UE requires itself and its suppliers to effectively identify the age of all employees during recruitment. Underage workers under the age of 18 shall not engage in work that may endanger their health or safety.

UE requires itself and its suppliers to protect student workers and apprentices in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

 

1.3 Working Hours

UE requires itself and its suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to working hours and rest, and all overtime work must be voluntary.

 

1.4Salary and benefits

UE requires that the remuneration paid to its employees by itself and its suppliers complies with applicable wage laws, including laws related to minimum wages, overtime wages and statutory benefits. Pay wages to employees in full and on time and provide clear and understandable pay slips.

UE requires itself and its suppliers not to use violence, including but not limited to verbal insults, threats, corporal punishment, sexual harassment or physical coercion of employees, illegal or opposite-sex body searches, or threats to commit such acts.

UE requires itself and its suppliers not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, race or ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, religious belief, political affiliation, group membership, protected genetic information or Marital status, etc. discriminate against employees in employment practices such as hiring, salary, promotion, rewards, training opportunities, dismissal, and retirement. UE requires itself and its suppliers to respect the rights of all employees to voluntarily form and join trade unions, engage in collective bargaining and peaceful assembly, and refuse to participate in such activities in accordance with local laws. Employees and/or their representatives should be able to communicate openly with management and express their views and concerns about working conditions and management practices without fear of discrimination, retaliation, threats or harassment.

2.1 working conditions

UE requires itself and its suppliers to obtain, maintain and update all necessary health and safety permits and comply with the relevant provisions of these permits.

UE requires itself and its suppliers to identify and evaluate possible health and safety risks (including fire protection, industrial hygiene, strenuous work, machine protection, etc.), through hazard elimination, substitution, engineering control, preventive maintenance and safe work processes ( including lockout/tagout) to eliminate or reduce risks and provide appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary. In addition, appropriate measures should be taken to protect the safety and health of female workers, especially pregnant and lactating female workers.

UE requires itself and its suppliers to develop necessary procedures and systems to prevent, manage, track and report workplace injuries and illnesses, and implement corrective measures to eliminate the impact and help employees return to work.

UE requires itself and its suppliers to provide appropriate health and safety training to employees in local languages ​​and to post health and safety-related information in the workplace.

2.2 living condition

UE requires itself and its suppliers to provide employees with clean toilet facilities and drinking water, as well as clean and hygienic food, storage and dining facilities when necessary. Employee dormitories should be kept clean and safe, with reasonable living space.

2.3 emergency preparedness

UE requires itself and its suppliers to identify and evaluate possible emergencies and emergencies, including but not limited to fires, explosions, fatal accidents, mass poisoning, etc., and implement emergency plans and response procedures, including: emergency reporting, on-site first aid , notification and evacuation procedures, regular training and drills and recovery plans, etc., to minimize the impact on people, the environment and property.

2.4 absolute rule

UE requires itself and its suppliers to comply with the following safety rules, ensure that all employees fully understand and comply with them, and supervise their implementation:

3.1 Environmental Permits and Reports

UE requires itself and its suppliers to obtain, maintain and update all required environmental permits (such as emission monitoring), approval documents and registration certificates, and to comply with its operational and reporting requirements.

3.2 Product environmental requirements

UE requires itself and its suppliers to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and customer requirements regarding prohibited or restricted substances, such as RoHS, REACH, etc., and take effective measures to prohibit or restrict the use of specific substances in products or/and in the manufacturing process.

3.3 Prevent environmental pollution

UE requires itself and its suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding pollutants (including wastewater, exhaust gas, and solid waste), including relevant requirements for manufacturing, transportation, storage, treatment, and discharge, and to reduce or eliminate them from the source. The generation and discharge of pollution, illegal discharge of toxic and harmful pollutants, and prevention of noise pollution are prohibited.

3.4 Energy conservation

UE requires itself and its suppliers to take conservation and substitution measures to reduce the consumption of energy, water and natural resources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

4.2 Intellectual property

UE requires itself and its suppliers to respect intellectual property rights and protect intellectual property rights and customer information when transferring technology, experience, knowledge or information.

5.1 Corporate Commitments and Stewardship Responsibilities

UE requires itself and its suppliers' senior managers to issue CSR policy statements in local languages, and should commit to at least complying with laws, regulations, industry standards, customer requirements and the requirements of this Code, and to continuously improve.

UE requires itself and its suppliers to designate a senior manager to be responsible for CSR management. Based on the principle that managing business must manage CSR, UE establishes an internal assessment and accountability mechanism, integrates CSR into the daily operations of each functional department, and accepts customer arrangements as required. Conduct on-site audits and disclose relevant information.

5.2 Risk Assessment and Risk Management

UE requires itself and its suppliers to identify the CSR risks and opportunities related to its operations in accordance with laws, regulations, industry standards, customer requirements, the requirements of this Code and its own strategic needs, and implement appropriate control measures to minimize risks.

5.3 Management of upstream suppliers

UE requires itself and its suppliers to establish a procurement CSR management system and incorporate the requirements of this Code as procurement requirements into upstream supplier management, including signing written commitments, incorporating certification selection criteria and regular audits.

5.4 Internal audits and management reviews

UE requires itself and its suppliers' senior managers to regularly review the CSR performance of itself and its upstream suppliers to ensure the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of its CSR management system.
